WE HANDLE YOUR INFORMATION WITH CARE

Confidentiality

Maintaining confidentiality is a priority at Beyond Trauma. Any information about you or your sessions will be kept between you and your psychologist.

There are rare occasions when confidentiality will be broken and information will be shared. If your psychologist thinks you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, then they are obliged to share this information with the appropriate people or organisations (e.g. police). Your psychologist also has a legal obligation to report current risks to children, drug trafficking, and terrorist activity. If confidentiality needs to be broken, this will be discussed with you first if at all possible.

Your information will not be shared with third parties (e.g. family members, GP, etc.) unless you request this in writing and provide written consent, or it is formally requested by court order.

Your psychologist receives monthly clinical supervision to maintain a high quality psychology service and your case might be discussed. No names or identifying information will be used in supervision.

Consent

Beyond Trauma collects your contact details, including your email, phone number, address, and details of relevant, involved professionals (usually your GP). We collect this information to contact you about your therapy. Your information will not be shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes.

Your psychologist will make record brief sessions summaries at the end of the session on a secure electronic database, which is only accessed by Beyond Trauma.

Your contact details and notes will kept for up to 5 years after therapy ended and will then be destroyed or deleted. You can opt out of this and I can destroy / delete your notes and details within 1 calendar month after therapy ended.

Beyond Therapy is registered with the Jersey Office of Information Commissioner.
